Maintenance & Technical Support Department
The Maintenance Department executes proactive preventive and corrective engineering maintenance for all stations comprising Egypt's National Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Network. The specialized engineering teams respond instantly to technical faults, performing precision diagnosis, component restoration, and genuine spare parts installation.
Accredited Instrumentation Suite (Thermo Scientific USA):
Stations are equipped with industry-leading Thermo Scientific continuous gas and particulate analyzers providing 24/7 automated telemetry:
- Particulate Matter Monitors (Model FH62C14 / 5014i Beta Gauge): Automated beta-attenuation monitors for continuous PM10 and PM2.5 mass determination.
- Nitrogen Oxides Analyzer (Model 42i NOx): Utilizes Chemiluminescence technology to measure NO, NO2, and NOx from combustion and vehicle emissions.
- Sulfur Dioxide Analyzer (Model 43i SO2): Employs Pulsed Fluorescence detection to quantify atmospheric sulfur dioxide concentrations.
- Carbon Monoxide Analyzer (Model 48i CO): Measures ambient CO using Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) non-dispersive infrared spectroscopy.
